Responsibilities

Job Summary: The Service Parts Counter Worker is responsible for assisting customers and service technicians with the selection, ordering, and sale of parts and accessories. This role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining accurate inventory records, processing transactions, and ensuring parts are available to meet repair and maintenance needs. The Service Parts Counter Worker communicates with customers in person, over the phone, and electronically, offering product information, pricing, and recommendations.

 

                    THIS ROLE WILL BE FOR OUR SERVICE AND PARTS COUNTER. 

Weekend shifts are required in Bellingham, WA store.

Essential Functions

  • Assist customers at the parts counter and over the phone with selecting and purchasing parts and accessories.
  • Recommend companion parts, current promotions, special offers, and alternative product options to meet customer needs.
  • Utilize computerized parts catalogs to identify and source parts accurately and efficiently.
  • Apply knowledge of automotive, marine, machinery, equipment, or hardware parts to support customer inquiries and sales.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system, including cash, debit, credit card payments, returns, and exchanges.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment.
  • Restock inventory, replenish shelves, and arrange merchandise displays to maximize product visibility.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve store objectives and deliver exceptional customer experience.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week, year-round benefited position.

Pay range is: $21-$25

Transportation and housing are not provided. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in retail, parts sales, or customer service.
  • Proficiency with computerized parts catalog systems and POS software.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of automotive, marine, equipment, machinery, or hardware parts is an asset.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work effectively in a team environment.

 Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift/move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
